Abellán wins by one point: Barcelona Women’s Trophy shows the pressure is rising

Berta Abellán (Scorpa) once again showed in Barcelona why she is the rider to beat in indoor trial. In the Women’s Trophy, the Spaniard secured her third consecutive win in the Catalan capital — but this time the gap was tiny: just one point. Behind Abellán it was extremely close. Andrea Sofia Rabino (Beta) finished one point back, with Denisa Pechackova (TRRS) only two points behind. Barcelona became the kind of event where winning is less about taking risks and more about staying clean until the very last section. Abellán admitted afterwards that such a narrow margin adds pressure. That is exactly why the result matters: it shows the opposition is closing in and the overall level is rising. Alice Minta (Beta) and debutant Kaytlyn Adshead (Vertigo) completed the classification. From a championship perspective, it’s the tightening gaps between established names and newcomers that stand out most. The Women’s Trophy continues later in the season, but Barcelona already delivered a clear message: one small lapse in focus can now be the difference between winning, a podium — or missing out.
